The order of the offices should be as follows: Public Relations Director Parliamentarian Treasurer Secretary Guidelines: The presiding officer shall take nominations for the position in question A person must be nominated and seconded A list of all people, who nominated and seconded them shall be kept by the secretary. The person who was first nominated shall give his/her respective speech last After all nominations have been taken the first person to speak shall be given __ Minutes to give an acceptance speech. After all speeches have been given, the election of that office shall commence. After the announcement of the victor in that election, the body shall continue to the next open office. Meeting Guidelines In all meetings the 51 Student Government Association shall use the 1893 edition of Roberts Rules of order. The SGA president shall serve as presiding officer of the SGA Senate unless he/she deems another to preside. The parliamentarian shall be the authority on procedural matters relating to Parliamentary disputes within the meetings.
